About
The 2020s brought Borșa a modern gondola and a long Olympic piste beneath the Rodna Mountains — the wildest ridge in the Eastern Carpathians. Snow comes early and stays late; the village below is pure Maramureș.
Getting there
Cluj (CLJ) is 3h over the hills, Baia Mare 2h. Pair it with the Bârsana and Ieud wooden churches — winter is their quietest, most photogenic season.
